Then, we will indicate, for all those lucky ones who go to enjoy a holiday in Lanzarote, the best beaches in this spectacular island.
1. Playa Grande
Located in Puerto del Carmen, Playa Grande is a perfect area for renting a villa in Lanzarote. With its more than one kilometre of golden sand, Playa Grande does honor to its name ("Grande" means large in Spanish).
It is a very busy and well known beach, most of the tourists who decide to travel to Lanzarote pass through it. A very well-connected beach with calm waters, just ideal for families.
2. Playa de Famara
For its spectacular sunsets and the mountain which protects it in the back, this beach is considered by some, as the most beautiful one of Lanzarote. Due to the strong winds that are usually blowing, it is ideal for surfing, but not so much to sunbathe with umbrella and towel. Another excuse to get to know this beautiful beach from your villa in Lanzarote, is to eat a fresh fish with the typical papas arrugadas (wrinkled potatoes), at the beach bar.
3. Papagayo
This is a beach full of contrasts: on the one hand the volcanic landscape of Los Ajaches, a monument of nature; on the other hand the white sand and the blue sea which contrasts with an intense black volcanic rocks. The strange combination of landscapes makes this beach an exotic gem which is very appreciated by all who know her. It should be pointed out that this beach is not as well known as the others, although it is getting more and more famous, since the CNN has named it as one of the best in the world. So hurry up to visit this amazing beach.
4. Las conchas
In order to enjoy this beach you will have to do a small journey by boat to the small island of La Graciosa, one kilometer to the Northwest of Lanzarote. In this beach, about 600 m of length, you can disconnect from the world while we look towards the neighbouring uninhabited islands of Alegranza and Montaña Clara.
And, taking advantage of the displacement by boat to the island of La Graciosa, we recommend to rent a bike to explore the island and discover other beaches such as the beach “Playa Francesa” and the “Barranco de los Conejos” beach.
5. Charco del palo
It is a set of natural pools formed between rocks, and nudist beaches. An alternative for those who want to see something different during their holiday in Lanzarote.
Of course, the island has many more spectacular beaches that you will discover if you choose to travel to Lanzarote.
