We cannot deny that one of the biggest attractions of Mallorca is its beaches. It is true that, depending on the beach you visit, you can enjoy it more or less. Tastes can be a very personal issue. Some may like rocky beaches and others may enjoy sunbathing on the warm sand.
This post is for those who love the coast, those who are big fans of the sand and the beaches. We present you a small list of 5 beaches that, in our opinion, you cannot miss if you visit Mallorca.
Cala Varques (Manacor)
You will find this beach 12 km away from Porto Cristo, near Manacor. To arrive there, you have to follow the Calas de Mallorca direction. In addition to the transparent waters that you will find, there is another hidden attraction. This beach has underwater caves that we are sure will delight those who love potholing.
Caló des moro (Santanyí)
Not surprisingly, it is the most visited beach in Santanyí and one of the most visited beaches of Mallorca. It is the most beautiful beach of the area. You can find the beach s’Almunia a few kilometres away. If you want to go, we recommend you to go early in the morning so that you can park your car in the houses of Sa Comuna, which are located about 500 metres away.
Cala Mondragó (Santanyí)
Even though Es Caló des Moro is the most visited beach; you can enjoy other beaches in the area. Santanyí is a paradise of transparent waters. We can say that Cala Mondragó is one of the less visited beaches of the area. It is located a few kilometres away of s’Alquería Blanca. In 1992, the Government of the Balearic Islands made it into a Natural Park.
Playa de Formentor (Pollença)
It is a beach located in the north of Mallorca. Our recommendation is that you look closely at the surroundings because nearby there is the viewpoint of Cap Formentor. After descending, what about a dip in this natural paradise? The beach is located about 5 kilometres of Port Pollença and you can also find the place under the name “Cala Pi”.
Es Trenc (Campos)
Paradise on Earth. Es Trenc is an idyllic sand beach in the south of Mallorca that, during the last years, has become very popular. Once you have passed the sandy area, you will find wetland and salt marsh. It is one of the few sandy areas of Mallorca that remains without being developed. You will also find a nudist area if you want to embrace Mother Nature.
