The vast majority of tourists who decide to spend their holidays in Majorca come seeking for the sun. In Majorca tends to shine almost all year a spectacular sun, which gives all the fortunate, who decide to travel to Majorca, some sunsets that fall in love. But for those who are looking for the best of the best of the sunsets in Majorca we have prepared a list of those who are mostly recognized as the most beautiful in the whole island.

Sa Foradada

This viewpoint is probably the most emblematic of the whole island. Located in the Sierra de Tramuntana, between the towns of Valldemossa and Deià, in a rocky ledge strategically located to enjoy a breathtaking view.

The place is usually very crowded with the consequent parking problem so it is recommended to arrive with time. One last recommendation, although the views from the viewers enabled or from the restaurant are amazing, if we move a little further towards the coast, along the path, we will be able to enjoy an even better perspective of the sunset.

The Lighthouse of Formentor

This lighthouse is one of those visits that no one should miss during their holiday in Majorca. The lighthouse is located very close to the port of Pollensa, an ideal location to rent a villa in Majorca.

Although the access is somewhat complicated, you have to climb a winding road through the Sierra de Tramuntana, the effort will be more than rewarded. As it usually happens in most of these places, the place tends to be very busy, with the consequent parking problem, which increases as we approach the lighthouse. As seen it is not a place of easy access but in return we can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets of the whole island.

Torre des Verger / the tower of the Verger

This circular surveillance tower, dating from the 16th century, was part of a network of towers that roamed the coast of the Sierra de Tramuntana, being the only tower of emission and reception of signals from Banyalbufar. The combination of coast, mountain and tower offers one of the most beautiful sunsets you can find during your holiday in Majorca.

Other equally spectacular sunsets, to enunciate only some, are: from some viewpoint of Sant Elm with views to the islet of Sa Dragonera, between the two moles of rock of the Torrent de Pareis, from the beach of Es Trenc or, simply, to contemplate placidly the sunset reclining on a deckchair at the foot of the pool of your villa in Majorca.
