If you have decided to travel to Majorca and don’t know where to rent a holiday house, we will give you some reasons on why you should consider renting a villa in Cala d’Or for your holidays in Majorca.

Cala d’Or means golden cove

Cala d’Or, which means golden cove, is an eminently touristic place located in the south-east of Majorca. Houses are mostly white ─Ibiza style─ so it would not be strange that your holiday villa also had this colour.

The location of this village turns out to be perfect to enjoy the good weather; people always look for that when choosing to travel to Majorca. The area offers an endless number of possibilities to practice your favourite outdoors activity.

For those who travel to Majorca looking for the Sun and beach

Cala d’Or has many coves and beaches for those who come to spend their holidays in Majorca looking for the Sun.

The beaches of Cala d’Or characterize for the thin sand and the turquoise waters. In addition, they are usually surrounded by cliffs and pine groves areas, which are more than welcome when you search for a bit of shade. Here you can find some beaches in Cala d'Or that you will be able to visit if you lodge in this area:

  • Cala Gran: "Gran" means big, because it is the bigger one; even though its name is not very original. Due to its location, in the centre of Cala d’Or ─and its easy access─ it is one of the most visited coves of the whole area.

  • Caló des Pou: this beach is characterized by two peculiarities. On the one hand, its palm trees give a tropical air and, on the other hand, you can contemplate the entry and exit of boats in the sports port.

  • Cala Egos: if you love scuba diving, you should not miss this cove and its beautiful sea beds.

  • S'Amarador: it is part of the Mondrago Natural Park, a mandatory visit, and is characterized by its pond of sweet water that comes from the Park.

  • Caló de sa Barca Trencada: perfect to eat with your family thanks to its pine groves areas that provide shade.
