Camp de Mar: Luxury and Exclusivity

Camp de Mar on Majorca is an eminently tourist town in the southwestern part of the island, less than 5 km from Andratx. It is an exclusive and luxurious area very visited by tourists who decide to spend their holiday on the island.

The Origins of Camp de Mar

Since its beginning, the area of Camp de Mar, was designed as a beach resort of high standing, to welcome tourists with a high purchasing power. 

Looking for this exclusivity we will not find large buildings, which spoil the landscape, or typical bars. The distinction and class preside over the entire area and its premises and shops.

The Beach of Camp de Mar

This beautiful beach, located between Cap Andritxol and the Playa de ses Dones, is characterized by its cleaning and utmost care. This beach, about 180 m wide, is perfectly equipped with ramps for access to disabled people, rescuer, hammocks, showers, etc.

In addition, the beach of Camp de Mar has the peculiarity that from there you can reach a small rocky islet, passing through a small wooden bridge. This islet, known as La Illeta has a cabin in which to have lunch or a drink enjoying stunning views to a crystalline sea.

What to Do in Camp de Mar

The area has much more to offer in addition to its impressive beach, therefore every year crowds of tourists who have decided to travel to Majorca come to Camp de Mar.

On the one hand, its enviable location allows visitors to enjoy nature in its purest form, with its proximity to the Serra de Tramuntana; at the same time it allows enjoying the urban and cosmopolitan face of Mallorca, since it is located less than half an hour from the capital, Palma.

It is also a perfect place for those who enjoy sports or do some exercise while enjoying holiday in Majorca. In addition to water sports and activities, there are plenty of trails to explore on foot or by bike. 

Golf lovers are also in luck, a few kilometres from Andratx is located a magnific golf course.

Another possibility that offers Camp de Mar is to visit the Natural Park of Sa Dragonera. Excursions to the small but spectacular Island depart continuously from there.
