On the island of Majorca, cycling is one of the sports that has experienced the largest growth in recent years. Currently, more than 100,000 cyclists visit the island annually to enjoy the wonderful scenery while pedalling along its roads, its quaint mountain ports with spectacular views and an excellent climate that certainly favours the practice of this sport.

Cycling in Majorca is a passion shared by its many visitors and the residents of the island. Majorca now has a strong infrastructure, not only in terms of facilities (such as special conveyor belts at the airport), but also the restaurants and cafes in many parts of the island, who have adapted to the needs of these athletes’ profile.

Furthermore, any of our villas in Majorca, spacious and in great locations, are the perfect place to enjoy Majorca and all it has to offer. Experience a luxury home, a privileged landscape and access to cycling routes right outside your door... the perfect choice.

A good example of Majorca’s excellent cycling conditions is the fact that many professional teams train on the island, almost permanently and throughout the year. Among them is Nibali, winner of the last Tour de France, and his team, the Astana.

Majorca’s road network totals approximately 1,250 km., 675 of which are byroads and secondary roads with a width of 6.5 meters, passing through very beautiful landscapes and leading to inland villages that have preserved the best cultural and gastronomic traditions. 20% of them are mountain roads.

The island’s roads meet the needs of the most demanding cyclists. There are also numerous cycle paths, such as the one from Pollensa and Alcudia to C’an Picafort or from C’an Pastilla to Palma.
