Ses Fonts Ufanes

The Ses Fonts Ufanes spring is a perfect excursion, especially for those who enjoy a family holiday in Majorca. Ses Fonts Ufanes is located 15 km from Pollensa, a dream area to rent a villa in Majorca.

This spectacular hydrological phenomenon was declared a Natural Monument in the year 2001. It is a natural source, of very powerful flow that can go in a matter of minutes from 0 to 3 m³/s, reaching exceptionally to the 100 m³/s. Something worth seeing, and that is that Mallorca is not just sun and beach.

The excursion to Ses Fonts Ufanes

First of all you have to bear in mind that for the spring to have a good flow, it must have rained the previous days, the spectacularity of the torrents depends a lot on the rain. To make sure it's a good time to make the excursion, it is advisable to call the day before your information phone.

The visit is free and the park is open from 10 am to 5 pm. However, it is advisable to leave our villa in Majorca early in order to find parking. The park does not have its own car park, although a few minutes away is the car park of the Caves of Campanet. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for this car park to fill up, so our recommendation is to try to arrive between 10-11h.

Once we are at the entrance to the park, if we follow the shortest itinerary, it will only take about 20 minutes to reach the spring. The proximity and easy access make it an ideal excursion to make with the youngest of the house, some stretches of the road can even be made with a stroller.

In addition another good thing of this excursion is that the route is circular, to the ida we will ascend 20 minutes by a different route to the one of the 20 minutes that we will descend to the return, with what we will be able to enjoy a different landscape in each route.

Even without rain it is still a worthwhile excursion for those who have decided to travel to Majorca, because the forest itself is beautiful and on the way we can discover the remains of coal bunkers, the house of a charcoal maker and a talayot - a typical Balearic prehistoric nougat construction.
