Son Real is 12 kilometres from Can Picafort. This beach was declared a Natural Area of Interest in 1991. It is a pristine, quiet beach with a large dune system. The mouth of the Son Real Torrent, just a few metres before reaching the sea, forms a crystal clear lagoon that is home to sea birds, insects and amphibians.
Made up of low cliffs, where you can admire several archaeological sites, this long beach of fine sand has patches stained by the accumulation of Posidonia algae that can reach several meters.
Access to Son Real is easy, head to Son Serra de Marina and once there, you will see a path to your left that leads down to the sand. The Serra Nova Yacht Club is also close by.
